Finally got the book for my Psych2 class...which was more expensive than the damn class itself. I know $207 for a whole class may not sound like much, but this IS out-of-pocket, and I have to leave my schedule open like whoa. =/
Failed my first drive exam, but barely. I haven't seen a Bike Lane in YEARS, so I failed by way of not merging into it to make a right turn, which seems like a terribly arbitrary law. Ah well, I'll pass it next time. |

Gonna be gone next week, staying with my mom to get used to her new car, so I can take the driving exam without, you know, recreating Ridge Racer Type 4.
I'll also be trying to beat Inward Chaos on Dissidia. The game starts to lose its charm when you get to that point, as it delves into dodge spam and the CPU seemingly breaking rules(attacking me while in a stunned animation) or otherwise being horrifically cheap(OHKOs on Brave attacks).
Ugh, the typing isn't so bad, but getting to here on a PSP is hell. |

This is my home. This is where I belong, where I need to be. Why do I have to go back to L.A.?
...oh, right, I signed up for a class already, need at least 2 weeks to quit Universal, and I'm personally broke and still don't have a driver's license. -w-
I've found a replacement for everything I love about living where I do, aside from stupidly obvious things like family and friends. I'm too used to being here in Lawrence...I don't want to go back, but I must see it as a temporary leave from my true home, right?
It's been hard to tell Cori to not cry or be sad/depressed just yet, when I'm constantly on the verge of tears myself. My mom even suggested I could just not return if I wanted to, but realistically, I need to build up some golds and finish prepping myself to really be worthy of any affection.
I'm really dishearted to hear my cat's kinda dirty 'cause my dad's been moving so much crap around and boxing up my mom's stuff, and he's too lazy to clean the dust and dirt up, natch-- though I'd like to hope that isn't the case when I get back there. However, I'm staying with my mom at her new home for about 2 days, to help my mind heal up some.
Oh, and the A.I. in Dissidia seems to love "cheating" or otherwise turning matches into nothing but dodge fests. It also seems to have a fondness for spamming annoying attacks with the Emperor, Tidus, Cloud of Darkness, and Jecht. Jecht especially can magically start blocking in the middle of an ass-kicking, and my last fight with Emp turned into him using a homing spam in his Omega stage. =/ |

Yes, I survived the planes-- without incident this time, minus security in Burbank thinking a knee brace I was wearing was a magical terrorist device(but at least I got a good TSA leg massage from it). Even Dallas gave me no troubles, simply switching the gates over by one twice to ensure on time flying.
I would've updated sooner, but can't use intarnets while Cori does her MT work. There's been a ton of snuggling, and even waking up wrapped around each other all nice and cute and comfy, and even her cat Sushi is getting used to me slowly, to the extent that I can occasionally pet her. ;w;
We bought a Dreamcast! Though the laser seems to have stopped working right now, we can always get it replaced/repaired. Got Shenmue(with all its RYO LIKES TO STARE INTENSLY AND WITH AN EMPTY GAZE FOR HOURS BETWEEN LINES goodness), Jet Grind Radio, and...JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ;________;
I've been making simple dinners, watching the X-Men animated series, and kicking ass in Star Ocean: Second Evolution(I didn't expect Rena to max out her HP ahead of Claude) and Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournement. ^^
Tomorrow night I get to meet some of her family, which I guess means I gotta wear pants. D:
And soon we'll be at RenFaire, with pies and beers, and a very cute skirt she bought~ |

As much as I'd loved to have updated about my trip to Vegas, recent awful pain in my fingertips has been crippling my ability to do ANYTHING online but just sit and watch crap. Not even playing much Mabinogi, mostly just sitting around and sometimes chatting or ferrying people around to special areas I have access to. =/
I'll summarize the trip, though: My grandmother is a gigantic money-grubbing cunt. Getting ~$500 from my aunt and uncle wasn't enough, she wanted my mom's boyfriend/SO* to toss some money her way, despite having paid for a $425 steak and booze dinner at the Monte Carlo our first night. Stole a $16 gambling voucher from my aunt while I guided said aunt to the bathroom.
...Demanded my mother and I drive her home that Sunday night after I got off a very long, hard shift(driving to Santa Maria around midnight means hitting fog so absurdly thick, it crawls over and bitchslaps you), but we got back at her when I blared all my gay disco and mom and I intentionally sang along horribly.
There's a rest stop near Las Vegas that has the most fucking awesome bathroom EVAR. The design allows for cool air to flow in and remove stink, toilet protectors, SOFT TOILET PAPER, little trivia bits near faucets to read, and SOAP OH GOD IT HAS SOAP. Also, even though it was an auto-flusher, the eye range was beyond two inches. I don't know how anyone else uses toilets like that and not turn it into a bidet after a few wipes. Do people just not lean forward while they ass-wipe?
Have a few pics-- now I can take more, since I nabbed myself a 2GB memory card for my phone. Take in higher quality, too. D:

The ultimate payback for my grandma. 5hrs in a car + poofy perm = WIN. I couldn't stop laughing when I noticed it. XD;;
And finally, an unrelated Mabi video! This time, we meet Aquasol, Leader and owner of Mabi's prestigious Assassin Guild, much stronger than most ever seem to think when they come across her. ^^
...I've been told there's a way for the in-game recorder to also capture sound, but I've not gotten it to work. =/

Had jury duty across the past 2 days-- always so fun, right? I was almost to the end of the waiting(which would've meant hopeful insta-release), but then they called me in for a misdemeanor trial(some lady was accused of making threats to harm another individual). =/
It was all smooth, and I avoided the seat-taking until near the very end, when a few people admitted some issues with the cops. One lady just MAGICALLY came up with about seven incidents where the cops failed to help her-- a few rapes, some muggings, and a home invasion or two. This was after she'd had no problem listening to and believe testimony by officers. >>
But at the same time, she might've been a blessing, since she took up so much time. So including my ~$13 lunch on Tuesday, I made a whopping $2 thanks to her. =/
When it got to me, the prosecutor asked that "If this case were to finish now and the defendant was proven beyond reasonable doubt to be guilty, would you have any issues with going in and deliberating and coming to a guilty conclusion?", to which I said that I'd still need to analyze the situation-- what led to the event, was it out of context, and what was the mental/emotional situation of the defendant at that moment?
Well, stupid as that sounded, I think the overanalysis managed to get me released. :D
More importantly, my mom got out of hers-- it would've been a 3wk trial, which would've eaten into the trip we're supposed to take at month's end(going to Vegas for my grandmother's birthday), plus would've royally fucked us over on basic stuff like having a home. ._.
P.S.: Downloaded FF VII onto my PSP through the PSN, and I enjoy it far more than I ever remember-- not so much the storyline, but the random little details in the visuals and tooling around with the battle system. I don't remember the moving trains in the Train Graveyard actually being the most detailed and textured objects in the entire game.
I'm gonna try to grind enough to kill the Midgar Zolom before the Mythril Cave. :D |
